Guide What is the NBCC (Northbridge Core Clock)

NBCC

The NBCC - Northbridge Core Clock - is the frequency which works internally northbridge a motherboard based on Intel P965 chipset. At first it was thought that this was equivalent to the FSB and although in many cases is so in many others it is not.

The NBCC can be calculated using the formula :

NBCC = default multiplier / multiplier set by user * FSB

When using the default multiplier of your CPU does not have a problem , then the FSB is the same as the ratio NBCC default multiplier multiplier game is set equal to 1. However

unlike what many believe, when lowering the multiplier to the NBCC, the internal frequency northbridge runs at a higher frequency than the FSB set at BIOS. For example, if you decrease the multiplier of our E4300 to 8 and FSB mantuviésemos its default, the NBCC would be to:

9 / 8 * 200 = 225MHz

This case is very subtle, but other configurations are far more cases ends, as you can see from the table below:

If you were to test the maximum FSB your motherboard and decrease the multplicador to 6, if you get to achieve this to a 400MHz motherboard and wonder that the NBCC would be running at a whopping 600MHz. Hope you

aya been useful, Patagonian .
